Finally, after 8 long weeks of developing my story line; finding the perfect locations, actors and props; over an hour of actual filming; literally days of video editing; searching for just the perfect song (Petra is awesome!); and paying off teens to help with the production with pizza . . . it’s is finished!!! I hope you enjoy my digital story. It was a lot of hard work, but I learned more than I imagined and had a great deal of fun. The really cool thing is that the kids want to make another video. Who knows . . . this could possible turn out to be a really neat ministry for the teens in our church. What an awesome way to share Jesus with other teens!!

Great video. I’ve been interested in taking this course. Looks like a lot of work. What kind of camera and editing software did you use?
Kevin,
I just used a JVC Everio camcorder that I bought at Walmart (or some where like that) a few years ago. To edit the video, I used Microsoft Movie Maker. It’s very basic, and was very easy to learn. I had made a short movie a couple of weeks ago just to practice out of some old film my son had taken of our dog a couple of years ago.
You would enjoy this class. It was very insightful and fun. It was awesome to actually make a final project instead of doing days of research to write a 30- to 40-page report. This is something I can actually put in my portfolio and show to future clients or potential new employer.
I’m glad you liked it and stopped by.
